FLOY`S STORY…
At the age of seventeen FLOY becomes the first singer of “Culture
Beat”
(best known for their No.1 hit “Mr Vain”).
Their album hits the charts worldwide and the single “I like you”
reaches No. 2 in the US Billboard charts.
Warner- Music offers FLOY a major international record deal
resulting in the Album “Shamelessly” being written and produced by Peter Vale
(composer of the international No.1 hit “Would I lie to you”) in London.
The hit single on that album “Soullful Man” also becomes title-
song of the German life-style- comedy- movie “Frauen sind was Wunderbares”
starring Barbara Auer, Kai Wiesinger and Thomas Heinze.
Meanwhile FLOY is invited to play the main female character in the
TV- movie “Weihnachten mit Hindernissen” along side Liselotte Pulver and
Michael Roll.
When EMI offeres Floy a publishing deal, she goes to live in New
York, Nashville and Los Angeles to collaborate with such notable producers and
composers as Charlie Midnight (James Brown- “Living in America”), Styx Hooper
(Randy Crawford- “Street Life”) and Robbie Neville (singer and composer of the
No.1 hit “C`est la vie”).
After her return to Germany she is offered the management of one of
Germany`s most famous music clubs “Angie`s Night Club”- part of the entertainement
enterprise “Schmidt`s Tivoli Theater” in Hamburg.
“Angie`s Nightclub” was known for it`s breathtaking live shows and
Floy adds some outstandingly successful years to the club`s colourful- and
vibrant history.
Together with two partners FLOY founded the company FLOYLAND.
Since 2002 FLOYLAND provides big companies such as Mercedes,
Siemens and Telekom with tailor made music productions for big campaigns and
product launches.
